Meet Motti

Hi, I’m Motti. You may remember me from when I spoke (and rapped ) at the Kinus Hashluchim Banquet a few years ago or from when Mrs. Chana Weisberg interviewed me and my wife on Chabad.org

Since then, I’ve spoken at hundreds of Chabad houses around the world.

I’m a proud Shliach of the Rebbe in Delaware. Husband. Father. Speaker. And former drug dealer… Wait - WHAT?!?!
 

Now that I’ve got your attention, I’ll just fill you in on some of the details.

I grew up without any Yiddishkeit, I joined the wrong crowd, got into a lot of trouble as a kid, got into drugs, became a rapper, got arrested (twice) and eventually became a drug dealer in college.

After experiencing every possible pleasure in the world and living the “college dream,” I still felt empty inside, which didn’t make sense!

If I have everything, where is this emptiness coming from? I had the question, but I didn’t have the answer…

Until I began a search for inner discovery.

This search led me to discover my soul, the Torah, Mitzvos, the Rebbe and Hashem…

In short, this search led me to my “Journey Back Home.”

Today, I am a Shliach in Delaware with a wife, 7 beautiful children and thriving programs in my community.

I did not experience my story in vain.

 

I know that as Shluchim, we sometimes feel that we are not impacting the people we serve.
